Billy Van and Margaret Kidney of Tecumseh will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary July 20, 2008. They were married at New Hope Baptist Church in Tecumseh July 26, 1968.
They made their home in Tecumseh where they still live. Kidney retired from Scrivner Inc. and owned and operated Billy Van’s Cafe for several years.
Kidney has been a salesman for Biozyme Inc. for 14 years.
Mrs. Kidney worked as teacher’s assistant for Tecumseh Schools and was a sales associate for Bill James Realtors. She has been employed with CVS Pharmacy, Shawnee, as a pharmacy technician for 10 years.
The couple has two sons and a daughter-in-law, Spence and Allison Kidney of Shawnee, and Steven Kidney of Oklahoma City. They have two grandchildren, Kyler, 11, and Haley, 5, of Shawnee.
Their family will host a come-and-go reception to honor the couple 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. July 20 at their home. Family and friends are invited and welcome to attend. Please RSVP or e-mail sakidney@sbcglobal.net for more information.
