Russell Maddox of Blanchard and Kristin West of Shawnee were married 3 p.m. Dec. 28 at Stubblefield Chapel on the campus of Oklahoma Baptist University with the Rev. Glen Walters, minister of H.I.S. Church, Meeker, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Paul and Ruth Ann West of Shawnee and the granddaughter of Virginia Shaw of Meeker and Zelma West of Shawnee and the late Willard West and the late Orin Shaw.
The groom is the son of Donna Maddox of Mena, Ark., and the late Tommy Maddox. He is the grandson of Ardith Todunter of Athol, Ind., and the late Ester Maddox.
Richard Soliday sang “The Lord’s Prayer during the ceremony and played tradition Christmas carols on the organ while guests were seated.
Hollie Johnson served the bride as matron of honor, and Barbie Maguire was the maid of honor. Both wore long-sleeved, calf-length, black crushed velvet dresses with square necklines. She carried a bouquet of long-stemmed burgundy roses.
Joseph Maddox, son of the groom, was the best man.
Groomsman was Mark Maddox, brother of the groom. They wore traditional black tuxedos with white, shirts, black vests and burgundy ties.
Brooklynne Price, cousin of the bride, and McKenzie Maddox, niece of the groom, were the flower girls. They wore long-sleeved, black velvet dresses with burgundy organza bubble skirts and carried white wire baskets trimmed in Christmas greenery and filled with burgundy rose petals.
The bride wore a white, matte satin gown with a chapel-length train. The dress featured a halter-style neckline, full skirt and train embellished with appliques of crystals, sequins and pearls. She wore a fingertip veil of layered tulle, edged in rolled satin piping, a long-sleeved white, matte satin cropped jacket and carried a bouquet of burgundy rose buds.
She wore a diamond pendant necklace belonging to her late grandmother Zelma West  for something old and a blue sapphire and diamond ring belonging to her maternal grandmother Virginia Shaw for something blue.
The bride wore a black tuxedo with white shirt, black vest and black tie.
Following the exchange of vows, the couple was transported to a reception at Chicago Street Deli in white horse drawn carriage. Servers were Tammy Tate and Jennifer Storie.
The couple spent the weekend at the Skirvin Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City for their honeymoon trip. They live in Shawnee.
