Kidney anniversary

Billy Van and Margaret Kidney of Tecumseh are being honored with a reception today marking their 40th wedding anniversary. They were married at New Hope Baptist Church in Tecumseh July 26, 1968.
They made their home in Tecumseh where they still live. Kidney retired from Scrivner Inc. and owned and operated Billy Van’s Cafe for several years.
Kidney has been a salesman for Biozyme Inc. for 14 years.
Mrs. Kidney worked as a teacher’s assistant for Tecumseh Schools and was a sales associate for Bill James Realtors. She has been employed with CVS Pharmacy, Shawnee, as a pharmacy technician for 10 years.
The couple has two sons and a daughter-in-law, Spence and Allison Kidney of Shawnee and Steven Kidney of Oklahoma City.
They have two grandchildren, Kyler, 11, and Haley, 5, of Shawnee.
Their family is hosting a come-and-go reception from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the couple’s home.
