Gotta' sing ...

On May 10-11, 2008, in Yarborough Auditorium in Raley Chapel, Oklahoma Baptist University held eight recitals or concerts: five piano, voice, string and instrumental.
Performing were the Young Singers of Central Oklahoma: Apprentice Choir Concert and Shawnee Honor Choir; Concert Choir and Youth Choral Concert.
At the end of each recital, students were recognized for their accomplishments throughout the year in any of the following auditions or festivals:
• National Guild Auditions
• Oklahoma Music Teachers Association District and State Achievement Auditions
• Federated Music Festival
• Hymn Festival
• Junior and Senior Auditions
• State Theory Tests
• District Solo and Ensemble Instrumental Contests

Piano teachers are Conchita Hansford, director of the Preparatory Department; Carol Ann Bell; Janci Bronson; Michael Dean; Shelley Levisay; Jo Lewis; Janelle Rominger; Jeannie Tyler; and Anita Williams.
Piano student teachers are  Cherry Donnelly, Heather Smith and Mandy Spicer.
Instrumental teachers are   
Royce McLarry, violin; Ty Myers, violin; Anna Maria Wilson, violin, Stephanie Lemoine, cello; Sam Hinson, bass violin; Scott Johnson, guitar; Steven Soward, guitar; Katie Robertson, oboe; Bruce Roberts, percussion; Julie Hixon, clarinet; and De Metri Moon, violin.
Voice teachers are Don Clark, Jennifer McQuade and Aaron Foshee.
