    • Some Shawnee residents were heavier on the scales and lighter in the pockets Thursday after the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Tasty Affair event. The affair is the chamber’s only fundraiser and the group tries to raise more money than they did the previous year. The preliminary figures show that the event raised just under $54,000, but chamber CEO Nancy Keith expected the final count to be more.
