I stumbled upon a celebratory quote this weekend: “Forget the past – you can't change it. Forget the present – I didn't get you one.” I couldn't locate the author, but we would have fit nicely. I rarely really want anything. It must be a symptom of aging, because my gift list as a child would've tripled employment at the North Pole.
