Vice presidents often are chosen based on their complementary aspects, and no one needs a helping hand from a running mate like the discourteous Donald Trump does. His ascendency to Republican frontrunner has come at the expense of numerous groups, and although his stances likely have helped him in the primaries, they surely will hurt him in a general election.
