A wildfire near Sacramento is threatening more than 1,600 homes and 800 other buildings, officials said. The fire comes as California suffers through a drought. Hundreds of residents have been ordered to evacuate, while many others are under voluntary evacuation orders. According to the Mt. Shasta News, more than 1,000 personnel from state and local agencies are committed to fighting the fire.
