Susan Elizabeth Moring, a 2008 graduate of Tecumseh High School, will present her senior piano recital Thursday at 7 p.m. in Yarborough Auditorium of OBU’s Raley Chapel.

A student of Dr. Carol Bell, OBU associate professor of music, she will perform works by Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Mozart, Gershwin and Mark Hayes.

Moring began piano lessons at age 6, when her teacher was her father, who taught her until sixth grade. She then began lessons with Bell.

She has also been church pianist at First Baptist Church, Tecumseh, for three years.

She was co-valedictorian of the THS class of 2008, and was selected for All-State Band and All-State Choir, and was also an Academic All-Stater.

Moring is the daughter of Herb and Linda Moring of Tecumseh.

Her recital, which will be about 45 minutes in length, is open to the public. A reception will follow.
