Beula Marian Green Paschall, 100, of Fort Worth, graduated to heaven on Friday, May 30, 2008.
She grew up in a cotton-farming family that had an organ for all the 15 children’s lessons. All through the depression, she worked in the present-day Oklahoma Heritage Center. She celebrated Oklahoma’s Centennial at the capitol with 25 others centenarians and Willard Scott last Nov. 16th. She taught all levels of school, from pre-school through college, specializing in British literature.
Her degrees are from Sayre High School, Oklahoma Baptist University, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
She and Gordon were in the ministry forty years in Indianapolis, where she played the organ. In Fort Worth they led the senior adults, where she also was in the choir.
Preceding Mrs. Paschall in death were her husband of 62 years Gordon Walton Paschall, one infant, her parents, twelve siblings and lifelong friend Dr. Rowena Strickland.
Survivors include her two sisters, four children, 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren, among whom are two Shawnee families: Peter & della Hutton, Juliet, Pip & Kristi with son Drake, Ian & Evie, Brighton; also Odus & Paula Compton, Blake, Caleb, Lindsey, Rachel, Nate, Micah, Chloe, Charity.
Memorials may be made for mission trips to North Pointe Baptist Church, 147 E. Hurst Blvd., Hurst, Texas 76053, where the celebration will be 3 p.m. Friday.
