A suspect was charged with first-degree murder Wednesday in the burning death of an Oklahoma City woman who was allegedly kidnapped from her boyfriend's house and then assaulted.

Capt. Steve McCool said investigators brought Quintez Deshawn Thomas, 25, in for questioning in the death of Jessica Brackett before booking him on charges of first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon and pointing a firearm and violation of the self-defense act.

Brackett, 37, was found early Tuesday walking along a road in Choctaw with burns and trauma to her body and died Wednesday at an Oklahoma City hospital, according to police.

Brackett's boyfriend reported her as kidnapped late Monday and told officers two men came to his home and forced her into their car, McCool said.

A second suspect was still being sought by police.
