A Macomb man died Friday afternoon from injuries during a single-vehicle accident at Etowah Road in western Pottawatomie County.

Carl Boston, 47, was pronounced dead at OU Medical Center by Medical Examiner H.L. Christensen at 2:45 p.m. Friday.

According to a Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Boston’s 2001 Chevy Surburban ran off the roadway to the right at 9:07 a.m., struck a rock ditch and rolled twice. Boston was ejected seven feet east of the vehicle and he was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
Trooper Jason McAlister of Troop AR detachment said Boston was under the influence of medication, and cause of the collision is under investigation.
McAlister was assisted by Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office.
