Carroll Newman with Vanguard Stimulation Services will be the speaker at noon at the Shawnee Rotary Club meeting at Golden Corral restaurant. He will discuss the decision to locate a new plant in Shawnee, which is under construction.

BURN Shawnee begins at 7 p.m. at Family of Faith Church, seven miles north of Shawnee on SH 18. The event continues until 7 p.m. Saturday and includes prayer and praise and worship groups. BURN Shawnee is an interdenominational gathering of people who pray for their city, county and state.
