First-degree murder charges have been filed against two suspects arrested in the killing of a 57-year-old Prague woman.
Levi Ellis, 28, and Timothy Dwain Stevens, 19, both of Prague, are charged in Lincoln County District Court.
They are accused of murder in the death of Sheryl Lynn Hazen, whose body was found July 19 in her Prague home, 1017 1/2 Klabzuba Ave.
Prague police called the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to probe the case, which resulted in the arrests of Ellis and Stevens within the first 24 hours of the investigation. The state medical examiner determined Hazen’s cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma to the head.
The OSBI said the suspects and the victim knew each other. Agents have probed a motive for the killing, but no other information was available.
Both men remain jailed without bond. Court records show their next court appearance for a pre-preliminary hearing is scheduled Aug. 5.
