Shawnee resident Eunice Nevada (Rose) Mize, 97, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Shawnee, of natural causes.

 


Shawnee resident Eunice Nevada (Rose) Mize, 97, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at Colonial Estates Nursing Home in Shawnee, of natural causes.
She was born Aug. 30, 1910, in Brockwell, Ark., to the Rev. Robert Marvin Wyatt and Jennie Etta Wyatt.
She married Lewis Mize.       
She joined Trinity United Methodist Church in 1955 and sang in the choir for years. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Hollis R. Rose and second Lewis E. Mize; brothers, Chester Wyatt, Luther Wyatt, and Garland Wyatt; sister, Laura Rodman, Mittie Wyatt, Florence West, Maymie Denison, Amy Griggs, and Virgie Wyatt.
Survivors include stepdaughter, Judy Mize; stepson, Michael Mize; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday Fairview Cemetery the Rev. Kay Smith officiating.
