Local artists will meet and share their creations with the public during a free event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, at various participating businesses in downtown Shawnee.

A children’s area, where visitors may experience the wonders of art firsthand, will also be available during the event.

The participating artists include Pat Griffin, Oklahoma City, with Recycled Art, sponsored by A Sense of Charm; Barbara Hertz, Tecumseh, with Oil Paintings, sponsored by Memory Lane Antiques; Lou Ellen Minyard, Shawnee with Craft and Tole painter, sponsored by Memory Lane Antiques; Michael Smith, Ada, with Pencil Charcoal and Ink, sponsored by Uncommon Threads; Ed Spears, Shawnee, with Painted Leaves and Feathers, sponsored by Uncommon Threads; and Joel Carmichael, Shawnee, with Watercolors and Prints, sponsored by Coney Island.
