New TLC members should have completed at least 60 hours from their former educational institution and have a minimum 2.75 grade point average, along with demonstrated leadership experience. The TLC program emphasizes the development of leadership through participation in on-campus leadership, which follows UCO’s mission to encourage students to achieve their highest leadership potential.
“We have great new council members this year, and we are so excited to see our new students become leaders in our community and at UCO,” said Scott Monetti, TLC advisor and director of UCO Leadership Marketing and Special Projects.
“Each year our members continue to prove that they are top leaders, and we are confident our new students will be very successful in their new leadership roles on and off campus.”
Each new TLC member should be an active member of the council by playing a part in ongoing committees and socials on campus.
TLC members should also log 16 leadership hours that consist of service performed in a leadership capacity, not just service hours performing basic community service.
All new TLC members will enroll in UCO’s annual fall leadership class, Lessons in Leadership, which serves as a transformational journey centered on leadership and includes a speaker series from state and national leaders who share their unique experiences and offer insights about leadership.
