Blanchard resident Wayne Rogers died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at the age of 51.

 Blanchard resident Wayne Rogers died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at the age of 51.       
Wayne was born Sept. 25, 1958 in Shawnee to Lyndell and Mildred (Deatherage) Rogers. He was raised in the Tecumseh area during his younger years and later moved to the Midwest City area.   He attended Oklahoma State University, where he earned his Associate's Degree. 
 On Nov. 10, 2006, he married Kathy Monroe. 
Wayne worked as a warehouse supervisor for Autocraft Industries.  He also worked as the foreman for Hope Lumber for many years. His favorite pastimes were pushing dirt and landscaping his property; fishing and spending time with his family. 
He was preceded in death by his father; his grandparents; and one son, Eric Edwards.
Survivors include his wife Kathy Rogers; children, Christy Hill of Shawnee, Michael Rogers and Justin Rogers, both of Phoenix, Ariz., Kara Rogers of Blanchard, Buzz Cagle of Broken Arrow, Crystal Castleberry of Richmond, Va., and Tara Carter of Mustang mother, Mildred Aday of Shawnee; brothers and sisters-in-law,  Robert and Carol Rogers of Stillwater and Daryl and Brenda Rogers of Choctaw; grandchildren, Paige and Madison Hill of Shawnee; many other family members and friends.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7,  at Cooper Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
