Tecumseh resident Ron Palmer, 59, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010 in Tecumseh.
He was born April 5, 1950 in Artesia, Calif., to Billy and Ruby (Sosebee) Palmer.
Born in California, he was raised in Lahaina, Hawaii, where he graduated from high school.  He joined the US Army and served two tours during the Vietnam War.  He then lived in South Carolina where he worked as a truck driver.  He joined the Police Force, moving to Florida, and then to Oklahoma where he worked in various department before retiring in Maud.  He always considered Hawaii his home. 
On June 18, 1999 he married Linda Huckelberry in Gainesville, Texas. He enjoyed music, golf, drawing, cooking, martial arts, and anything to do with Hawaii. He was a member of the Purple Hearts Society, the Disabled American Veterans and the Masonic Lodge. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Palmer and a brother: Glenn Palmer         
Survivors include his wife, Linda Palmer of the home;’ three daughters, Terronda Palmer-Davis of Shawnee, Corrina Palmer-Hartsell and her fiancé Steve Goodheart of Edmond, and Mindy Palmer of Tecumseh; grandchildren: Coby Palmer, Cody Goodrich, Kayla Davis, Seth States, Alyssa Goodrich, Zackery Hartsell, Regan Goodrich, and Ty Goodrich; mother: Ruby Palmer of Nobel; step-sons: Brian Goodrich and wife, Donna, and Travis Goodrich; sister and brother-in-law: Billie and Don Braiser; brother and sister-in-law: Don and Cindy Palmer; brother-in-law: Richard Huckelberry; good friend, Larry Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at Cooper Funeral Chapel under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
