  • Jocile M. Heath passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010.
    She was born Oct. 31, 1930 to the late Vivian Victor and Ellen Lucile Heister in Shawnee. She was raised in Earlsboro, Okla., graduating from Earlsboro High School in 1948. Jocile attended Oklahoma A&M for three years before she married Jim on Feb. 4, 1951. They moved to Bedford, Texas where Jim was employed at the original Boys Ranch. Five years later the family moved to Midwest City where they have lived for 54 years. The family attends St. Matthew UMC, where Jocile sang in the choir for over 50 years and taught Sunday School for 31 years. She was a member of the Mid-Del Art Guild and has served in several positions for over 30 years. She was an outstanding artist in many forms and participated in numerous art shows.
    She was preceded in death by her brothers, Victor Heister and Jack Heister.
    Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Jim; sons, David Heath (Dayna), Jim Heath (Diana), Mark Heath (Kim); daughter, Bonnie Schriewer (Eddie); grandchildren, Jennifer Gregory (Matt), Valerie Heath, April Schriewer, Kayla Heath, Darren Heath and Vanessa Heath; great grandchildren, Grace and Jonas Gregory; sister-in-laws, Freda Heister and Katherine Heister.
    Services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Midwest City under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Matthew Memorial Fund.
