  • The Bethel Acres Fire Department has a new fire truck — a 2010 model pumper that replaces a worn-out Engine 3.
    The truck is a 2010 Freightliner with an E-One rescue cab, said Fire Capt. David Dutton.
    The truck replaces an older engine that was becoming undependable and will be stationed at Fire Station No. 1, Dutton said. It can hold 1,020 gallons of water.
    The truck, which cost $213,000, was a an expense allocated by the town council with town funds.
