The Lady Bison had a 23-14 lead with 8:17 left in the first half, but MACU cut the lead to two by halftime.
Mid-America Christian scored the first 12 points of the second half for a 40-30 lead. The Lady Evangels had a 45-36 lead before Bridget Reynolds went on a personal 8-0 run, including two three-pointers, to make it a 45-44 game with 10:47 to play.
After a MACU basket, the Lady Bison launched a 14-0 run with seven points coming from Gabby Mattox. That left OBU with a 58-47 lead with 5:12 to play. MACU got no closer than seven the rest of the way.
“I was proud how we responded to adversity,” said Lady Bison coach John McCullough.
Reynolds led OBU with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Mattox and Sam Smith had 13 each.
Now 10-16 overall and 8-10 in the Sooner Athletic Conference, the Lady Bison host second-ranked Oklahoma City at 6 p.m., Saturday.
