Earlsboro’s girls, paced by Brittany Coon, ended Soper’s season with a 61-45 decision.
Coon came off the bench in the second quarter and tallied 12 points as Earlsboro took a 33-15 lead to halftime. Coon finished with a game-high 20 points.
Jordan Lasley added 15 points as Earlsboro improved to 17-10. The Lady Wildcats will play another elimination game at 1:30 p.m. today at Colbert against either Sasakwa or Caney.
Earlsboro’s boys ran their record to 20-7 by eliminating Soper 62-44.
Zach Miller of Earlsboro collected 17 points and teammate Austin Hopper knocked down two 3-point shots.
Soper’s only lead came at 1-0.
“We played very well in the first half,” Earlsboro coach Russell Parsons said. “That allowed us to get everybody in the game and save our legs.”
Earlsboro will try to avoid elimination again at 3 p.m. today against either Boswell or Tonewall at Colbert.
