Tiffin, who will wrestle in tonight’s championship round, has already earned a berth in next weekend’s state tournament at the State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City.
Three McLoud entrants advanced to the semifinals of Friday’s regional but all came up short of earning a finals berth.
Brent McCormick dropped an 11-3 major decision to Tuttle’s Gunnnr Laffoon at 112 pounds and McLoud’s Josh Mouser, competing at 119, fell 3-2 to Anadarko’s Matt Abbott.
McLoud’s other semifinalist, 145-pound Josh Parker, was a 12-1 victim of Tuttle’s Isaac Beard in the semifinals.
Tecumseh’s Ryland Hausam advanced to the 152-pound semifinals but was upended 2-0 by Austin Elam of Tuttle.
McLoud is in seventh place (58 points) in the 16-team competition while Tecumseh is 13th with 15 points.
