The Prague Lady Red Devils took control of the Meeker Lady Bulldogs early in their district matchup Saturday night and cruised to a 70-23 win.


The Prague Lady Red Devils took control of the Meeker Lady Bulldogs early in their district matchup Saturday night and cruised to a 70-23 win.
To say the game was physical would be an understatement. Prague shot 46 free throws and hit 26. Heather Farrill led all scorers with 24 points for the Lady Red Devils and Brooke Watkins added 15.
“We survived it,” said Prague head coach Jay Depanion. “we came away with no injuries in a very physical contest.”
The third-ranked Lady Red Devils will host a  Class 3A regional beginning Thursday. Prague (22-1) will tangle with Purcell at 6:30 p.m.
Prague’s boys went to 3-0 on the season against Meeker with a 63-49 victory.
The Red Devils, 19-4 and ranked seventh, received a 22-point outing from Darnel Embry. Embry scored 11 points in both halves and finished with two treys.
Mandrale Henry led Meeker with 19 points.
Prague will meet Lexington at 8 p.m. Thursday in regional play at Prague.
