Frank Jackson, age 79 and a resident of Asher, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Pecan Village Mobile Home Park in Tecumseh.


Frank Jackson, age 79 and a resident of Asher, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Pecan Village Mobile Home Park in Tecumseh.
Frank was born Sept. 10, 1931, in Richmond, Mo., to Cora (Mefford) and Lee Jackson. He married Ettie Mae (Smith) Jan. 14, 1949, in Marshall, Texas, and he was in the Army from 1953 until 1956. He owned an Asphalt Paving Company in Asher, and he loved to play Bingo and watch Western shows and movies.
He is survived by one daughter, Dusty Jackson, of Asher, and three grandchildren, Shelby and Kathryn Dixson and Tanner Etchieson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora and Lee Jackson; his wife, Ettie Mae Jackson; three brothers, Richard Jackson Jr., Jimmy Jackson, and Donnie Jackson; and four sisters, Juanita, Dorothy, Kathrine, and Larabell.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. Burial will follow at Vista Cemetery. The Rev. Lester Robbins, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Asher, will officiate. Pallbearers are Mike Davis, Dewayne Dixson, Keevin Dixson, Coy Brown, Mark King and Tracy Black.
