Habitat for Humanity of Shawnee, Inc., will host a work day on Saturday, Feb. 26, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the houses being constructed on Shamrock Court and Emerald Court, off Ken Del Drive.


Habitat for Humanity of Shawnee, Inc., will host a work day on Saturday, Feb. 26, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the houses being constructed on Shamrock Court and Emerald Court, off Ken Del Drive.
Volunteers are interested in participating may show up at the work site on Saturday morning for instruction. No previous experience is necessary; instruction will be given and tasks will be assigned by the on-site construction supervisor.
Habitat welcomes volunteers ages 14-15 with the all-day supervision of a sponsoring adult on site; volunteers ages 16-17 with some restrictions such as no use of power tools; and anyone age 18 and older. All volunteers under age 18 should arrive with a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Groups are invited to participate in this opportunity for civic involvement. Please call Marguerite in the Shawnee Habitat office at 214-0434 by Friday noon if you plan to bring a group. Upcoming Habitat work days are slated on Saturdays for March 12, March 26, April 9 and April 23.
