Nine Bethel girls got in the scoring column Thursday night in a 72-38 drubbing of Centennial in a Class 3A regional winners bracket contest.
Four members of the top-ranked Lady Wildcats — Shay Flanagan, Sami Martin, McKenzie Cooper and Meghan Tade — recorded 12 points apiece. Flanagan also had four steals and Tade registered a team-high six rebounds.
Tade converted all four of her free throws and two of her four shots from beyond the 3-point line.
Bethel led 49-15 at the intermission.
“Shay Flanagan played extremely well,” Bethel head coach Jerry Johnson said.
Bethel, 21-2, will play the winner of the Beggs-Chandler game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Stroud’s new gymnasium.
Bethel’s boys came out on the losing end of a 54-33 loss to Centennial in the regional nightcap.
Collin Wilborn of Bethel registered four field goals from 3-point range while scoring 14 points. Jason Radomski added 10. No other Bethel player scored more than five points.
Bethel (9-14) drops into a losers bracket game at 8 p.m. today against Beggs at Stroud High School.
