Heather Farrill led all scorers with 11 points as the Prague Lady Red Devils swamped Sulphur 40-28 Saturday in a Class 3A regional tournament championship game.
Both teams registered single-digit scores in the first three quarters before Prague (24-1) closed out the contest with a 16-10 run over the final eight minutes of play.
“Sulphur played a great game. We did a pretty good job defensively on them,” said Prague head coach Jay Depanion.
No Sulphur player scored more than eight points.
Cherelle Embry scored eight points for Prague, and teammates Brooke Watkins and Hillary Dixon added six each. Corbin Coker contributed a shot from 3-point range, and Prague went 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter.
Prague enters the winners bracket of the area tournament and will face Purcell at 6:30 p.m. March 4 at McLoud.
