  • The Coats for Kids Ministry, supplying clean and warm coats to children and adults in Tecumseh, Shawnee and surrounding areas will open from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Coathouse on the corner of Benson Park and Gordon Cooper Drive. There is no charge for the coats and the only requirement necessary to receive a coat is for the person needing the coat to be present to try it on. It is our goal not only to give a coat, but for it to be one chosen by the person needing the coat.
Coats for Kids Ministry has been supplying coats for those in need since 1996 and have been supplied thousands of coats free of charge. It is our goal that no child or adult be without a coat or be embarrassed by the coat they wear. Those wishing to donate coats may drop them off at Morris Cleaners in Tecumseh, Finley Cleaners in Shawnee, Sharon Baptist Church or Branson McKiddy Real Estate, or call Norma McKiddy at 598-1443.
    All donations are deeply appreciated.
