Jewell I. (Flick) Nabors, 80, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, in Seminole.

Jewell I. (Flick) Nabors, 80, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, in Seminole.
She was born April 15, 1931, to William Braxton and Sadie Leona (Tarwater) Flick in Oklahoma City.
As a child, Jewell lived with her family in Pauls Valley and Maud before moving to the Tecumseh area. She attended Rock Springs and Dripping Springs grade schools near Maud.
As an adult, she moved to California where she met her future husband, Bill F. Nabors, and they were married June 1, 1956, in Las Vegas. Jewell and Bill raised their family in Gardena and Torrance, Calif. Along with her husband, they owned and operated Al-Roy Drilling Soil Testing. They returned to the family homestead in Tecumseh in 1976 and have since lived.
Jewell and Bill enjoyed bowling, traveling and they loved fishing. They enjoyed ranching west of Tecumseh.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill on Feb. 24, 2004; son, Bill F. Nabors II; grandson, Allan Wesley Johnson; four brothers and two sisters.
Jewell is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Wayne Gober, Shawnee, and Gwen and Bill Johnson, Seminole; twin sister, Geraldean “Dean” Watson, Tecumseh; grandsons, Daniel and wife, Jillian Gober, Mark and wife, Ashley Gober, and Justin Gober; and granddaughter, Brandi Nabors; four great-grandchildren; and many extended family members.
Visitation will begin 9 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, and continue through time of service. The family will gather from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, to meet with friends.  Service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 27, at Oak Park Church of God, Shawnee, with Reverend Leroy Kerbo officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
