Services for Dorotha Mae “Dot” Presley, 94, of Shawnee, will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, in Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wright, associate pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating. 


Services for Dorotha Mae “Dot” Presley, 94, of Shawnee, will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, in Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wright, associate pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating.  
Dot went to Jesus at 10:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, in Rose Manor following a three-week illness.
Mrs. Presley was born Feb. 8, 1917, in El Centro, Calif. Her family moved to the Macomb area in 1919. Her family helped start the Eagle Baptist Church, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized at 13.
On Sept. 13, 1935, she married J.C. Presley. In 1945, the family moved to Shawnee and joined Immanuel.
Mrs. Presley worked in the beginner department for 30 years; she was a member of the Sarah S.S. class, T&T Choir and WMU. She owned the Style Room Beauty Shop for 30 years. After retiring, she volunteered at Shawnee Regional Hospital for several years.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, R.S. and Minnie Morris; sister, Lola, and brother-in-law, Leo Stonis; husband, J.C. Presley; and granddaughter, Ricki French.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Beth Presley of Shawnee; granddaughter, Deidra Shobert; grandson, Mark Presley; great-grandchildren, Zach French, Randi French, Samantha Harvey, Robert Harvey, Mitch Presley, Mia Presley; great-great-granddaughter, Kinley Kay Harvey; and a host of friends.
