The 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts this year didn’t go unnoticed by Eskimo Joe’s headquartered in Stillwater. The company has unveiled a new t-shirt that celebrates the Girl Scouts in Oklahoma and the leadership experience it provides to tens of thousands of Oklahoma girls every year.
“We are very excited about this t-shirt, because it connects a beloved organization like Girl Scouts with one of the most recognizable t-shirt designs in the country – Eskimo Joe,” said Kari Ames, community development executive for Girl Scouts-Western Oklahoma. “Plus, Eskimo Joe’s will donate 10 percent of sales to Oklahoma Girl Scouts to help us continue our mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.”
The unveiling was held at Eskimo Joe’s Restaurant in Stillwater with representatives from Girl Scouts-Western Oklahoma and Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma. The design features recognizable images from Girl Scouts including a daisy, Girl Scouts, the outdoors, science, traveling the globe and more, along with the famous smiling Eskimo Joe.
"Girl Scouts has such a positive impact on young girls and the organization has such a strong presence here in Oklahoma." said Stan Clark, President and CEO of Eskimo Joe's. "We're pleased to partner with them and provide a design that helps commemorate their centennial celebration."
