  • Comments are not going to change mind

  • I always enjoy reading Ms. Davis’ comments, and wonder if she really thinks she is going to change people’s values and attitudes. On the recent rant on contraception, does she actually think that she will change some churches, they are called Catholic and by the way have had the same theology on birth control long before Ms.Davis was born.

  • I always enjoy reading Ms. Davis’ comments, and wonder if she really thinks she is going to change people’s values and attitudes. As for the 26,000 unintended pregnancies in Oklahoma, I am curious as to where that figure came from, most of the pregnancies that happen are most likely “unintended.”
I know two out of my three were. The Oklahoma County Health Departments have information and will provide birth control, qualifying is minimal. You should be thrilled that is yet another program us the taxpayers provide. In this day there is no reason for not using birth control if you don’t want children. I have a thought that maybe there are a lot of lazy people who just don’t take the time and effort to look into alternatives.
My opinion, abortion is not a form of birth control. As for Ms. Davis’ grandmothers, don’t think there was access to birth control methods that are now available. I didn’t get the parallel meaning of the loss of grandmothers? The rhythm method was a choice, also maybe prophylactics. I don’t know if the diaphragm was in use or not. Women still die from child birth. Just think what would have happened if Ms. Davis’ mother had used birth control.
The legislators are doing what their constituents voted them in office to do. Remember the majority rule? I believe life begins at conception, and guess what.
Your comments are not going to change my mind, but thanks for the enjoying read.
