  • Oklahoma Baptist University’s Chase Lindsey was one of the last golfers to complete the first round before the NAIA Men’s Golf Championship was suspended Tuesday due to standing water on the greens and bunkers.
    Lindsey is in a tie for 59th place at Creekside Golf Course. He shot a 76 for the opening round.
    Lindsey started on the 10th hole and bogeyed the 524-yard 12th hole and double-bogeyed 13, which is a par-5, 576-yard hole. He birdied the 18th (462-yard, par 4) and the par-3, 176-yard hole 6. He also had bogeys on holes 4, 5 and 8.
    The 72-hole tournament resumes Wednesday.
