  • Defendants charged with numerous felonies in meth raid case

  • As part of an ongoing investigation relating to a massive meth raid June 27 in and around Shawnee, 16 of those arrested are now formally charged with an array of felony counts.

    Charges alleging crimes between Jan. 1 and June 27 are filed in Pottawatomie County District Court.

  • As part of an ongoing investigation relating to a massive meth raid June 27 in and around Shawnee, 16 of those arrested are now formally charged with an array of felony counts.
    Charges alleging crimes between Jan. 1 and June 27 are filed in Pottawatomie County District Court.
    More than 125 law enforcement officers from numerous agencies participated in the daylong raid, where simultaneous warrants were served and 39 were arrested in connection with a months-long undercover drug case. More than $112,000 in cash, along with methamphetamine, was seized during those raids.
    Among those charged are two local residents who were reported to be high-profile targets for law enforcement.
    Steven Dale Faulkner, 53, and Linda Jean Ellis, 48, both of Tecumseh, are the suspects that prosecutors allege were taking $30,000 every other day to Oklahoma City to buy methamphetamine.
    They are charged conjointly with seven felony counts: conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking, in which they are accused of acting in concert with Patricia Ann Stevens and Juan Carlos Rangel-Ortiz, and others, to possess and/or distribute meth in quantities greater than 450 grams.
    Faulkner and Ellis also are charged with aggravated trafficking, unlawful use of a communication facility, possession of drug proceeds, two counts of distribution of controlled dangerous substance and trafficking in illegal drugs.
    Others charged so far in relation to the meth raids are:
    • Patricia Ann Stevens, 47, and Juan Carlos Rangel-Ortiz, 34, both of Oklahoma City, are charged conjointly with conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking, unlawful use of a of a communication facility and possession of drug proceeds.
     • Edgar Fernando Sanchez-Ganez, 33, Oklahoma City, is charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking controlled substance by agreeing and communicating with others, including Faulkner and Ellis, to possess or distribute meth.
    • Brenda Kay Sisson, 48, Meeker, is charged with conspiracy to traffic CDS by agreeing with Faulkner and Ellis to possess meth, as well as unlawful use of a communication facility, which is use of a phone to commit the crime, charges allege.
    • Kimila Ann Luman, 51, Shawnee, is charged with conspiracy to possess CDS by agreeing with Ellis to possess meth, and also is charged with unlawful use of a communication facility.
    • Jimmy Joe Childers, 38, Tecumseh, is charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated trafficking of CDS by agreeing with Faulkner and Ellis and others to possess or distribute methamphetamine in quantities greater than 450 grams. Childers also is charged with unlawful use of a communication facility.
    • Denise Faye Barrett, 52, Shawnee, is charged with conspiracy to distribute CDS by agreeing with Faulkner and Ellis to distribute meth, and is charged with unlawful use of a communication facility.
    • Garth David Nixon, 53, Shawnee, faces four felony counts. He is charged with conspiracy to traffic CDS by conspiring with Faulkner and Ellis, and also is charged with trafficking in illegal drugs, unlawful use of communication facility and possession of CDS.
    Page 2 of 2 - • Bobbie Jean Campbell, 55, Macomb, is charged with three counts — conspiracy to traffic CDS by conspiring with Faulkner and Ellis, unlawful use of communication facility and possession of CDS with intent to distribute.
    •  Five others are charged with the same two counts of conspiracy to traffic CDS by conspiring with Faulkner and Ellis and unlawful use of a communication facility. Those defendants are Dallas Greg Odle, 34, Shawnee; Cheryl Annette Burks, 51, Shawnee, Cathleen Christine Wigley, 48, Shawnee; and Steven Britt Coker, 48, Tecumseh.
    Further charges are expected.
