The cause of a fatality crash that killed a Moore man Tuesday night on Bethel Road is under investigation, according to a report released by troopers Wednesday.
The accident occurred about 4:42 p.m. on Bethel Road, just south of SH 9 in Pottawatomie County.
Michael Chambers, 49, of Moore, died at the scene of that accident from massive internal injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Trooper Robert Harmon, along with Trooper Brian Odom, both from the Oklahoma County detachment of Troop A, worked the accident scene.
Cause of the accident is listed on the report as pending for further investigation.
Chambers was driving a 1996 Chrysler Sebring northbound on Bethel Road, the trooper reported. The vehicle ran of the roadway to the right and traveled about 180 feet before it struck an embankment.
After that, the vehicle went airborne and rolled one complete turn in the air, ejecting the driver, the patrol reported.
Chambers had no passengers.
Trooper Harmon noted seat belts were not in use.
