An assistant Creek County district attorney says charges are expected soon in connection with an August wildfire that burned about 90 square miles.
Mike Loeffler (LEFF'-ler) told the Tulsa World (http://is.gd/0NxzKA ) that he expects charges this week. He declined to identify the suspect and did not immediately return a phone call to The Associated Press.
Loeffler says the charge will be violating the state burn ban or third-degree arson.
A fire near Luther days earlier is also suspected to be arson. Oklahoma County authorities say they haven't identified a suspect.
A fire in Cleveland County that killed one person was also thought to be the result of arson. A spokeswoman for the state Fire Marshal's Office did not immediately return a phone call seeking comment.
