  • Seminole State dropped to 10-5 on the year Tuesday with a four-set loss to host Butler Community College.
SSC won the first set, 25-20, but fell in three consecutive sets after that — 25-14, 25-19 and 25-19.
Sofija Berezovska picked up nine kills, four blocks and three digs for the Lady Trojans, while teammate Kitija Megne got 28 assists, 10 kills, seven digs and two aces.
SSC’s Brandi Nickelson got 27 digs.
“Butler played a good match against us,” said SSC coach Doug Byrd. “They put up a big block which made for a long evening for us. We were never able to get on track and play our game.
“I am proud of the girls, because even through how bad we played and some missed calls, I feel like we never gave up.”
The Lady Trojans will go to Hutchinson, Kan., Friday for a noon contest with Hutchinson Community College.
