  • Class B’s second-ranked Asher Indians picked up a district title Friday with an 11-0 shutout of Wapanucka. The game was stopped after 3 1/2 innings on the run rule. It was Asher’s third shutout win in two days. The Indians defeated Earlsboro (20-0) and Wapanucka (10-0) Thursday. Zach Fowler held Wapanucka to just two hits Friday as he improved to 6-2 on the mound. He fanned six batters and walked two. Leading Asher’s nine-hit offense was Sean Fleming with a two-run triple. Tanner Andrews and Hunter Fowler each collected two hits and two runs batted in. “Hopefully we are peaking at the right time,” said Asher head coach Shane Coker. Now 19-5, the Indians will host Dale at 4:30 p.m. Monday for a single varsity game. Dale is ranked first in Class A. Asher will learn of its regional assignment next week.
