Lady Bison sweep weekly volleyball honors

Kristin Pressley, Sabra Clark and Gabby Samuels gave Oklahoma Baptist University a sweep of the weekly Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball awards for Sept. 17-23.

Pressley was named player and hitter of the week, while Clark was named setter of the week and Samuels libero of the week.

Pressley, a junior outside hitter from Mansfield, Texas, averaged 3.92 kills and four digs per set as OBU went 4-0 on the week with wins over Oklahoma City, Mid-America Christian, Benedictine and Baker. She also carried a .304 attack percentage and had six aces, 1.5 blocks and five assists.

Clark, a senior from Andover, Kan., averaged 10.25 assists per set, including a high of 38 against Baker. She also had 18 kills, a .386 attack percentage, 30 digs, four aces and four blocks.

Samuels, a senior from Norman, had a .944 reception percentage, .898 service percentage and averaged 5.69 digs per set on the week.
