  • Ivan and Joleen Hatler of Macomb will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the Tecumseh Church of Christ.

  • Ivan and Joleen Hatler of Macomb will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at the Tecumseh Church of Christ.
     
    The couple married Oct. 27, 1962, in Shawnee.
     
    Ivan is retired from a career in the Shawnee Fire Department and is now enjoying the great outdoors and working around his farm. Joleen is retired from a career in the postal service as a clerk; she also enjoys quilting with friends and cooking. Both enjoy being with their family and friends.
     
    They are both members of the Church of Christ in Tecumseh.
     
    They have two sons and one daughter-in-law, Louie and Crystal Hatler of Macomb and Torrey Hatler also of Macomb. They have four grandchildren, Joshua Hatler and wife Lisa, Holly Hatler, Jenna Hatler all of Macomb, Michael Hatler, Ariel Howeth and husband Matt of Shawnee. They also have five great-grandchildren, Hunter and Kayla children of Joshua Hatler, Mia and Danielle children of Michael Hatler, and Lexie Hatler daughter of Ariel Howeth.
     
    The family is planning a special trip at a later date.
    They invite friends and family to enjoy a come-and-go event starting at 1 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall. No gifts please, your presence is honor enough.
