Oklahoma Baptist trimmed nine strokes off its first-round score to finish second at the OBU Fall Invitational at Shawnee Country Club Tuesday. After a fourth-place first round, OBU shot 296 to move up two spots with a team 601, but finished 15 strokes off the pace of winner Bellevue’s 586. Bellevue’s David Garner won with a 140, shooting 69 and 71. OBU’s B team was 13th in the 13-team field. Ethan Fine led the Bison in third place at 144, shooting a pair of 72s, while Todd Balkin was fifth at 149, shooting 77 and 72. Alexander Hall was eighth at 151 with a 75 and a 76. Drew Posada shot 81 and 76 for 157 and 20th place, while Elkin Hoyos shot an 83 and an 81 for 164 and 41st. Zach Myers led the OBU B team with an eighth-place finish at 151 with 81 and 70. Trevin Harrison was 44th at 165 with an 82 and an 83, followed by Nicholas Scarinzi in 69th at 183 (91-92) and Dylan Smith in 71st at 191 (91-100).
