The male victim murdered in Lincoln County earlier this week was positively identified late Saturday.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said the man killed was 35-year-old Gustavo Barragan Valencia of Mexico.
His body was found in a rural area near Wellston on Wednesday. Lincoln County Sheriff Charlie Dougherty said he was shot “execution-style” and was found with a pillowcase over his head. His hands and ankles also were bound.
Numerous law enforcement agencies are probing this case, which is believed to involve the homicide, as well as many other incidents attributed to a crime spree.
Deputies have been searching for two persons of interest in the case and have said this case is drug and gang-related.
Lincoln County sheriff’s officials are calling a press conference Sunday to release more information about the ongoing investigation.
