  • Oklahoma Baptist claimed a 3-1 win over John Brown Friday to move into the finals of the Sooner Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament. Top-seeded and 10th-ranked OBU plays third-seeded Wayland Baptist at 7 p.m. Saturday for the conference championship. OBU improved to 31-4 on the season, tying the school record for season wins, taking down the Golden Eagles 25-21, 23-25, 25-16, 25-19. Tarah Derden spearheaded the efforts offensively for OBU, recording 19 kills and three aces, while Kristin Pressley added 15 kills and Skyler Strahm contributed 14. Sabra Clark had 44 assists. Defensively, OBU got 19 digs from Gabby Samuels, 16 by Pressley, 14 from Kaitlyn Lucy, 13 by Clark and 12 by Carey Strong. OBU is playing for its second consecutive SAC Tournament title.
