Shawnee’s Wolves and Lady Wolves finished first Monday at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
The Lady Wolves got first-place finishes in the 200-meter medley relay, the 200-meter freestyle relay and the 400-meter freestyle relay, as well as first-place individual outings from Veronica Ortiz (200 freestyle), Kaitlin Hampton (50 freestyle), Myranda Troup (100 freestyle and 100 backstroke) and Ana Leon (400 freestyle).
Ortiz was second in the 100-meter breaststroke, and Leon was second in the 50-meter freestyle.
Carol VanDyne was third in the 100-meter backstroke.
For the Wolves, there were first-place finishes from the 200-meter medley relay team, the 50-meter freestyle relay team, the 200-meter freestyle relay team and the 400-meter freestyle relay team. The Wolves also picked up second place in the 200 medley relay and the 200 freestyle relay.
Individually for the SHS boys, Mark Roselius was first in the 200-meter individual medley and the 100-meter backstroke, while Jon Matanane was first in the 100-meter freestyle. Sean Winegardner was first in the 100 breaststroke, and Cade Chlouber was first in the 50-meter freestyle.
Michael Heon and Logan Schultz were second and third, respectively, in the 50 freestyle, and Chlouber was second in the 100-meter butterfly. Jackson Baugh was third in that race.
Weston Foote was second in the 100 freestyle, and Heon was third. Schultz took second in the 100 breaststroke, and Josh Kalies was third.
Shawnee’s next meet is at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Shawnee YMCA.
