  • Asher’s boys, ranked eighth in Class B, improved to 4-0 Friday with a 76-21 drubbing of Tupelo.
    Asher led 27-8 in the first quarter, and 42-17 at halftime.
    Tim Johnson dropped in 20 points for the victors, and teammates Caleb Dubler and Dalton Hockley added 15 and 12, respectively.
    The Asher girls were not as fortunate, falling to 2-2 with a 33-28 loss in overtime. The Lady Indians trailed 9-6 after one quarter, and 14-13 at the break. The two teams finished the third in a 17-all deadlock, and each scored nine in the fourth to remain knotted at 26 at the end of regulation.
    Tupelo out-scored Asher 7-2 in the extra session.
    Shelby Fleming led Asher with 10 points, and Kasaki Reimers added seven. Tupelo’s Kayley Sanders led all scorers with 15.
    Asher will go to Earlsboro Tuesday.
