Shawnee’s Wolves took first place Thursday at the Shawnee YMCA, while the Lady Wolves placed second in the first home meet for both teams.
The Wolves got first-place performances from the 200-yard medley relay team of Jon Matanane, Sean Winegardner, Cade Chlouber and Mark Roselius, and the 400-yard freestyle relay group of Matanane, Chlouber, Weston Foote and Roselius.
The Wolves’ 200-yard freestyle relay team of Rohr Raney, Josh Kalies, Jackson Baugh and Michael Heon also placed first.
Chlouber was first in the 200-yard individual medley, and Matanane was first in the 100-yard backstroke. Foote placed second in the 100 backstroke, and Kalies was second in the 500 freestyle.
The Wolves’ 200 freestyle relay team of Raney, Kalies, Baugh and Heon took second, and Roselius and Foote were second and third, respectively, in the 100 freestyle.
Winegardner took second in the 100 breaststroke, while Logan Schultz is third.
For the Lady Wolves, Myranda Troup and Veronica Ortiz took first and third, respectively, in the 200 freestyle. Breanna Barnett was second in the 200 individual medley, and Kaitlin Hampton was first in the 50-yard freestyle.
Ana Leon was second in the 50 freestyle, and Hampton was also first in the 100-yard butterfly.
Troup was first in the 100-yard freestyle, Carol VanDyne was second in the 500-yard freestyle and Ortiz was second in the 100-yard breaststroke. VanDyne also claimed first in the 100 backstroke, and Barnett was third.
The Lady Wolves’ 200 medley relay group of Troup, Ortiz, Hampton and Leon took first, as did the 400 freestyle relay group of Hampton, Ortiz, Barnett and Troup.
Shawnee will compete Nov. 29 at the Shawnee YMCA versus Chickasha and Ada. The meet will begin at 5 p.m.
Tecumseh swimmer Kaleb Hatton placed second in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:08.17) ad the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.70) Thursday at the Shawnee YMCA.
