  • Oklahoma Baptist rattled off its sixth straight win with a 77-47 win over Northwood Saturday.

The Lady Bison dominated the backboards with 56 rebounds and three players in double figures in caroms – all three recording double-doubles.

Charity Fowler led with 21 points and 10 rebounds, Zbeyda Aremi added 16 points and 10 rebounds and Jalissa Council recorded a dozen points and a team-high 11 rebounds.

Fowler led the team with six assists and matched Aremi for a team-high three steals.

The Lady Bison held the soon-to-be Sooner Athletic Conference Knights to 22.6 percent shooting (12-34).

Despite the 30-point win, OBU’s high-octane offense was a hair off, missing nine of 17 free throws and shooting 42 percent from the field. The Lady Bison entered the game as the No. 1 scoring offense in the NAIA.

OBU scored the first 11 points of the game with five points from Fowler and four from Council to set the tone. The Lady Bison never trailed in the game.

The OBU lead swelled to as much as 22 in the first half before a 35-15 advantage at halftime.

The second-half lead peaked at 36 points, 77-41, on a Lilia Inoubli basket with 38 seconds to go.

Now 6-1, the Lady Bison have a week until the next action, a Dec. 1 contest at Central Oklahoma.
