  • Five Oklahoma Baptist divers qualified for nine spots in the NAIA National Swimming and Diving Meet with performances Saturday in the Arkansas-Little Rock Christmas Invitational.

  • Five Oklahoma Baptist divers qualified for nine spots in the NAIA National Swimming and Diving Meet with performances Saturday in the Arkansas-Little Rock Christmas Invitational. Denys Noyles won both the one-meter and the three-meter with qualifying standards of 227.5 in three-meter and 321.45 in one-meter. Mark Pontier qualified from fourth in the one-meter at 219.15. Kristen Brimage won the women’s three-meter at 262.60 and was third in the one-meter at 217.15 — qualifying in both events. Tara DeWall was second in the one-meter at 22.15 and fourth in the three-meter at 188.85 to earn a spot in the NAIA meet. Michaela Patterson qualified in the three-meter at 206.00, finishing third. Next action for the OBU swimmer and divers is the Chesapeake Elite Meet Dec. 13-15 at OCCC. Note: Report provided by Ray Fink, OBU sports information director.
